On
Sunday evenings we introduce a new musician,

He has a unique style: "My music has a destiny and the soul purpose to
help people to reclaim their pure innocence often lost within their own
hearts."
The
Mojo Stars on Friday 28th. Have you always wanted to go to a juke
joint in the Mississippi Delta, or catch a band on Chicago's windy east
side? Check out the next best thing, Vancouver's newest blues/R&B band;
the Mojo Stars, bringing classic Blues/R&B home to the Heritage Grill.
The Backroom Theatre Club
Many of our regular clients have noticed our poster announcing live
performances in "The Backroom" - an intimate performance venue at the
Heritage Grill. This facility was launched officially on Thursday, March 6 in the
form of a club -
The Backroom Theatre Club.
Mark your Calendar
The
Club will present its first live performance for the public on March 27
- it will certainly be surprising, intellectual, and entertaining: The
Rap Canterbury Tales. It is a clever, entertaining, and utterly
hilarious one-man adaptation of Chaucer’s medieval masterpiece by Baba
Brinkman.
If you would like to know more,
drop us a line.
Life Drawing Classes
On
Sunday evenings the Backroom hosts life drawing sessions with professional
models. All Artists welcome.

What is Jazz?
Wikipedia defines:
"Jazz is an original American musical art form which originated around the
beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in
the Southern United States out of a confluence of African and
European music traditions.
The use of blue notes, call-and-response,
improvisation, polyrhythms, syncopation and the swung note of
ragtime are characteristics traceable back to jazz's West African
pedigree." |
